You’ll be using and honing your skills to help our customers build their businesses through custom merchandise creation and fulfillment at Threadbird.

What You'll Do:
  • Efficiently set-up jobs up to 16 colors. 
  • Basic knowledge of screen printing inks, squeezes, and the usage of flashes.
  • Knowledge of ink mixing, screen prep, etc. so the operators can focus on printing!
  • Set up screens and inks according to work order specifications and produce test prints for approval. 
  • Maintain a clean & safe work environment.
  • Work quickly and efficiently while producing high-quality prints. 
  • Loads screens with inks and tools.
    • Shirts, ink, screens and duplicate tools are always accessible for each job, and at each press.
  • Assures proper print order. 
  • Loads shirts on press for consistent placement of prints
  • Quality Control 
    • Inspect production prints for color, registration, and print quality according to customer specifications. 
    • Inform the press operator of print problems observed during the production run. 
    • Record and report quantities of rejected material and acceptable prints.
    • Catch, stack, and sort printed products.  
  • Keep squeegee and flood bars clean and ready (check for rough edges before installing). 
  • When the job starts to print this position switches to one of quality control at the unloading station. 
  • Must have previously printed shirt sample in view and assure that everything coming off the press matches. 
  • Constantly check for proper ink coverage, registration, and print position (it is at this station that we have the best opportunity to correct anything that might be wrong with the print). 
  • Once the print is complete and the catcher at the end of the dryer verifies the quantity and quality help tear down the job and start the process over for the next job. 
  • Need to have the ability to anticipate the next part of the process and be ready for the next step. 
  • Must have a good vision and an eye for detail.
  • Must stay focused and not get distracted from the task at hand.
  • Unloads shirts from press to dryer.
  • Removes screens from press.
  • Removes ink and tools from screens.

What You'll Need to be Good At:
  • The preferred teams member will be an energetic, organized, and dependable individual with the ability to work efficiently and effectively. 
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Willing to learn to run automatic screen printing presses and in all aspects of production: setting up/breaking down jobs, burning screens, reclaiming screens, mixing inks, etc. 
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. 
    • Positive attitude & team oriented.
       
What We Require:
  • Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours
  • Lift boxes 25 lbs to 50lbs.
  • Work in a warehouse environment (not climate controlled)
